Crossover Global has conducted ministry with a commitment to extend the Kingdom of God among unreached people groups without creating unhealthy financial dependency. Over the years, we have successfully allocated the funds raised for our church planting efforts in three main areas — training, transportation, and “tea” (helping buy cookies, tea, and bibles for local house-churches). We do not pay salaries for local church planters. They serve bi-vocationally as they lead house-churches and work during the day to support their families.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 has disrupted this ministry dynamic.

We currently have a total of 1,596 national bi-vocation church planters serving in 34 countries. Out of them, 419 church planters living in 19 countries have been out of work. After some time of prayer and consideration, we felt the Lord’s guidance to launch a fundraising campaign called COVID-19 Relief aiming to provide $50 a month to these national church planters for their basic needs.

Since most of our church planters are in developing countries and also in the Southern hemisphere, where winter is just about to start, we are predicting that the economic waves of COVID-19 will be felt over the next six months. Therefore, we are seeking to raise at least $150,000 ($25,000/month) to be used specifically to help meet the basic needs and provide relief to hundreds of national church planters.

So many generously and sacrificially give to our church planting efforts. This is an above and beyond request. Would you prayerfully consider donating to provide relief to our national church planting families around the world?
